Privacy notice
What we do with your details.
Short version: we use them to reply to you, we keep them no longer than we need to, and we don't sell them to anyone. The rest of this page is that same sentence with the specifics filled in — including the one bit that genuinely deserves your attention, about where the chat agent sends what you type.

Who we are
Wovelo Ltd is the data controller for this website. We're registered in England and Wales under company number 11434970, at 5 Webster Close, Raunds, Northamptonshire, NN9 6TB.
We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC207562, which you can look up on the ICO's own register of fee payers — their site, not ours, so you can check it says what we say it says.
The fastest way to ask anything on this page is [email protected]. A person reads it.
The contact form
When you fill in the form on our contact page we collect your name and email address, and — only if you choose to give them — your phone number, business name, what you're interested in, and whatever you write in the message box. We also record the IP address it was sent from, which helps us spot spam.
- Why: to reply to your enquiry. That's the only reason.
- Lawful basis: your consent, which is the tick box on the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who ask us things.
- Where it goes: to our email inbox, and nowhere else. It is not stored in a database, not added to a CRM, and never sold. One company sits in the middle — Resend, which delivers the email for us and processes it in the EU. They pass it on; they don't keep it or use it.
- How long: if you become a client, for as long as we work together plus six years for tax records. If you don't, twelve months, then it's deleted.
You won't be added to a mailing list. There isn't one. If you say no thanks, that's the end of it — no follow-up sequence, no re-marketing.
The chat agent
The chat widget on this site is a live demo of the kind of agent we build. It's worth being precise about what happens when you type into it.
- Your messages are sent to our own server in the UK, and from there to Mistral, the AI provider that generates the replies. See the next section — this part matters.
- A session ID is generated in your browser and held in
sessionStorage. It's a random string containing nothing about you, it lets the agent follow the thread of a conversation, and your browser clears it automatically when you close the tab. - The conversation is held in our server's memory for about 2 hours so the agent can remember what you just said, then discarded. It isn't written to a database.
- Our logs record that a message happened, not what it said. We keep the time, a shortened session ID, the IP address, how many characters you sent and how many tokens it cost us. The text itself is not written to our logs. Those logs roll over continuously — about 50 MB of rolling logs, typically a few weeks.
- Please don't type anything sensitive into it. It's a demo on a marketing website, not a secure channel, and — see below — what you type leaves the UK. If you need to send us something confidential, email us and we'll agree a sensible way to do it.
Where the chat agent sends your words
We think this deserves its own heading rather than a footnote, because most websites bury it.
The replies are generated by Mistral. According to their own privacy policy, Mistral stores and processes data on servers in the European Union. So when you type a message into the widget on this site, that text leaves the UK.
The UK recognises the EU as providing an adequate level of data protection, so this transfer needs no extra paperwork and your data doesn't lose its legal protections by crossing the Channel. We chose a provider on this side of the Atlantic deliberately — plenty of the better-known AI providers process in the United States or in China, and that is a materially different answer to give you.
What this means for you in practice: treat the chat widget as public.Anything you'd be uncomfortable sending abroad shouldn't go in it. The contact form and email don't work this way — those stay with us.
This applies to our own demo. When we build an agent for a client, the provider is a decision we make together, and choosing one that processes in the UK or EEA is a normal part of that conversation — see how we build AI agents.
Analytics
There are none. At the time of writing this site runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts of any kind — you can verify that by viewing the page source, or by watching the network tab and seeing that nothing is requested from another domain.
That's also why you haven't been asked to dismiss a cookie banner. This site sets no cookies. If we add analytics later we'll pick something cookieless that doesn't identify you, and we'll update this page before switching it on.
Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted on a virtual private server in the UK, behind Cloudflare, which handles the connection security and filters malicious traffic. Cloudflare processes your IP address in order to route the request to us.
Like every web server, ours keeps access logs containing IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and for working out what broke when something breaks. These rotate on a two-week cycle and are then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to us using it. Email [email protected] and we'll deal with it within a month, usually the same week. There's no form to fill in and we won't charge you.
One honest limitation: chat messages aren't linked to your name, so if you ask us to delete your chat history we may genuinely be unable to find it. In most cases it will already have been discarded automatically.
If you think we've handled your data badly, please tell us first — we'd rather fix it. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator.
Changes to this notice
If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. We won't quietly broaden what we do with your details and hope nobody notices.
